At Biospectral Systems, we engineer our products to the highest standards of durability and performance. We understand that investing in your light environment is an investment in your health. Below you will find the comprehensive terms of our warranty coverage and return privileges.


1. The Biospectral Guarantee (Returns)

We want you to experience the physiological benefits of our technology risk-free.

  • 30-Day Risk-Free Trial: You have 30 days from the date of delivery to test any Biospectral product. If you are not satisfied with the results, you may return the item for a refund.

  • Condition: Items must be returned in "like-new" condition with all original packaging, accessories (charging cables, cases, cloths), and manuals.

  • Fees: Returns are complimentary for US customers. International customers may be responsible for return shipping costs. (Note: Custom prescription lenses are non-refundable as they are cut specifically for your eyes, but the frames are fully covered under this policy.)


2. Product Warranty Periods

Our warranty protects you against defects in materials, workmanship, and engineering. The duration of coverage depends on the complexity of the product:

Category A: Blue Free Optical™ Eyewear

  • Coverage Period: 1 Year (12 Months) from the date of delivery.

  • Applicable Products: Day Lenses (Joshua, Luca, Harper, etc.), Night Lenses (Davy, Galileo, Alice), Non-prescription and Readers.

  • What We Cover:

    • Structural failure of the frame (hinges, rim integrity) under normal use.

    • Lens coating defects (such as peeling or crazing of the anti-reflective or melanin-infused layers) not caused by chemical damage.

    • Loose or missing screws upon arrival.

Category B: Electronic & Light Therapy Devices

  • Coverage Period: 2 Years (24 Months) from the date of delivery.

  • Applicable Products: APOLLO VX1 Photobiomodulation Helmet, Motion Detector Night Lights, and other powered devices.

  • What We Cover:

    • LED failure or significant dimming beyond standard degradation.

    • Battery failure (inability to hold a charge) not caused by improper charging.

    • Internal electronic component failure.

    • Sensor malfunctions (e.g., motion detection failure).


3. Warranty Exclusions (What is Not Covered)

To ensure we can continue offering premium support, the following are not covered under warranty:

  • Accidental Damage: Drops, crushing, stepping on frames, or pet damage.

  • Lens Scratches: Scratches are considered normal wear and tear. Our lenses are treated with anti-scratch coatings, but abrasive surfaces or improper cleaning (e.g., using a T-shirt instead of the provided microfiber cloth) will cause damage over time.

  • Improper Use: Using non-compliant chargers for electronic devices, water damage to non-waterproof items, or heat damage (leaving glasses on a car dashboard).

  • Unauthorized Modifications: Any repair, glue, or alteration attempted by a third party voids the warranty immediately.

  • Lost or Stolen Items: The warranty covers the product itself, not loss of possession.

  • Shipping costs for products returned to our warehouse or laboratory

  • Products damaged by misuse, abuse, improper care, negligence, or accidents (including pet damage)

  • Products showing wear and tear

  • Products returned for personal reasons that are not related to performance or satisfaction

  • Products that have been soiled or contaminated

  • Third-party alterations made to the product

ALL WARRANTY POLICIES ARE VOID IN THE CASE OF PROFESSIONAL THIRD-PARTY ALTERATIONS BEING DONE TO THE bioSpectral Systems FRAMES. THIS INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Third-party lens exchanges

  • Frame or lens staining, or painting

  • Frame bending


4. How to File a Warranty Claim

If you experience a manufacturing defect, our support team will resolve it quickly. Please note every item is subject to an evaluation by our Returns Team. Follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email support@biospectralsystems.com with your Order Number and a brief description of the issue.

  2. Documentation: Please attach 2 clear photos (or a short video) showing the defect. For electronic issues, a video demonstrating the failure is often required.

  3. Resolution:

    • If the defect is confirmed remotely, we will ship a replacement unit immediately.

    • In some cases, we may send you a prepaid shipping label to return the defective unit to our lab for engineering inspection before a replacement is issued.

Biospectral Systems reserves the right to determine if a product defect is due to manufacturing materials or user error. Fraudulent claims will be rejected. The Warranty and Guarantee conditioner may be altered by bioSpectral Systems at its sole discretion.
